The Challenge
Crisis happens to people in the church and throughout communities. How can we help our pastors and faith leaders reach their congregations and reach out to the community when crisis arises?
Our Pastors have a heart and desire to care for the church and to reach out in mission. But, there are only so many hours in the day. Too many people in the pews believe “it’s the Pastor’s job” to do it all…”need to preach better”, “why aren’t you visiting more people and evangelizing”, “more programs for Christmas”, “HELP…my child is on drugs!”, “HELP I lost my job!”, “HELP my wife has cancer!” Who can and will hear their silent cry for help?

We Are Called to Love & Bless Our Neighbor
Â
Ultimately, the reason a church exists is to glorify God by impacting a community with the gospel.
The GCSD Heart Care Team Ministry, in collaboration with CAREForce Community-based Chaplaincy program, can meet this great pastoral need to bless your neighbor. We’ve caught a vision for helping the faith community to train, equip, empower, and release other church leaders, pastors, and Christ-followers to be trained and skilled in S.A.C.R.E.D. Care so as to reach out to those in crisis when they really need help. By training a Heart Care Team for each church, we are able to expand the pastoral reach to those in need and to help others navigate the storms of life with the “Ministry of Purpose, Presence, and Peace providing SACRED CARE.
